Mark King
Personal Trainer/Health and Life Coach, Ultimateyou I have always been interested in our physical and mental health and what makes people do what people do. We all have so much potential but very few maximise it or even get close to maximizing it.
I opened up a health and fitness centre in Taupo at the age of nineteen shortly after winning my first bodybuilding competition. I owned and ran it seven days a week for five years and learnt how to be as much a counsellor, as a fitness coach. I wrote articles in the Taupo Times every week and did my first guest speaking gig at a Lions event. Since then, I have competed and won many bodybuilding competitions the last one being Mr Auckland over 40s. I have spoken publicly on many topics from weight management, motivation and inspiration to how to deal with ‘overwhelm’. |
I have owned various companies from Publishing, Personal Training/Nutrition to Personal Coaching.
My passion has always been to help people understand themselves and to get through sticking points throughout their lives to come out better, stronger and more able to cope with what life throws them.

Wellness
Some people think that Wellness is simply the absence of disease. I like to think True Wellness is a mindset where an individual actively pursues a healthy mind and body through;
Nutrition: I want to cover a few key nutritional protocols that can have a profound effect on everyone’s life and also a couple of discoveries in the field of epigenetics.
Exercise: I want to talk about some of the key benefits of weight bearing exercise and how we should be managing aerobic activity to achieve total wellness. Dispelling some factoids along the way.
The Six Human Needs: I will be covering each one in detail and explaining why if people aren’t having a particular need met will break their moral compass to ensure the need is met.
State Management: This is extremely powerful; once you know how to change your state in less than a minute you can control your behaviour and so your outcomes.
We are all the center of our own Universe, the King or Queen of our own chess game yet most of us allow ourselves to be pawns in others lives. I want to share practical ideas on how to stop this from happening. This is a major reason today why so many people are unhappy and so mentally unwell as we have lost control of our own identity.
